Our Services

Adult Care

The American Optometric Association recommends that most people have their eyes examined every one to two years depending on their age and health.

Routine eye exams are an important way of maintaining your best vision and eye health.

Our exams include a test of :

  • Eye alignment
  • Pupil testing and reflexes
  • Visual fields
  • Vision testing (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia)
  • Eye health (complete external and internal evaluation and screening for
eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.)

Pediatric Care

Experts say 25% of school aged children suffer from some vision problem. Early detection is important to prevent permanent vision loss. One out of every four children from ages five to twelve has a vision problem that could affect their performance at school and at home. School screenings aren’t detailed enough to identify problems with eye muscle coordination, eye diseases and peripheral vision loss. Most visual defects discovered before the age of five can be treated. Indications your child may be experiencing problems are:

  • squinting
  • headaches
  • eyes pointing in different directions
  • blurred or double vision
  • tilting of the head to favor one eye
  • reading from books held too close or too far away
  • ability to read for only a short time
  • frequent blinking and rubbing of eyes
  • red or swollen eyes
  • inability to judge distances
  • using their fingers to follow words
  • poor school and athletic performance

Our exam will include a check for eye alignment, depth perception, visual acuity testing and color vision. This will be followed by an external and internal examination of the eyes.   We accept children as young as 6 years of age. You can rest assured that your child is in good hands.
